Stretching the Writing Muscle

It’s a morning for stretching the writing muscle.

It’s 5:45AM, the sun is rising and the birds are singing. The Sun is in Gemini, the Moon in Virgo (First Quarter) and it’s Saturn’s day. It’s a Mercury in Earth kind of day. It’s a day for details, work, and communication. I’ll be moving my tomato seedlings outside (fingers crossed that Mother Nature doesn’t play any unexpected tricks in the coming days and the seedlings survive).

If you’ve made it past the image, I think it’s time that I share some news: Occultivated is a one woman show now. We used to be two friends writing this blog but motherhood and other life priorities has led to it now only being Faye who blogs in this space. If you’ve followed me over, you may note that I’ll likely be a little all over the place as I work to find my voice and get back into regular blogging. Writing is a practice, a muscle that needs exercising, and it’s one that I haven’t been using nearly enough despite having this space.

When you don’t write often, the blank page feels daunting. Every idea not really enough to be worthy of writing down in a quasi public space. But the more you write, the easier it becomes to identify topics to explore, ideas to share. I have things to say, I just need to find the voice I want to say the with and stretch those writing muscles.

Anyways, welcome to the new Occultivated. We hope you stay a while.
